Praxis requires certain information from its suppliers for both procurement and subcontracting opportunities. This information is used to assess your company's general capabilities and to expedite the subcontracting process.
All suppliers and subcontractors must register with the Department of Defense, submit a Supplier Qualification Form, and submit Representations and Certifications. Although optional, Praxis prefers that its suppliers and subcontractors register with the Federal government.
Mandatory Qualification and Registration
Defense Universal Numbering System Number: The Defense Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number is a unique nine digit number assigned to each physical location of your business or organization. DUNS number assignment is free for all businesses required to register with the U.S. Federal government for contracts or grants. Note that individuals and single-person companies can use their Social Security Number and are not required to have a DUNS number.
Before registering for your DUNS number, you'll need to know your North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code.
Central Contractor Registration and CAGE Code: Offerors are required to register in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database before award of any contract (see DFARS 252.204-7004).Before registering in the CCR, you'll need a DUNS number.
The Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code is a unique five digit number that identifies companies doing or wishing to do business with the Federal government. The code provides a standardized method of identifying a given contractor facility at a specific location. The code may be used for a facility clearance, a pre-award survey, automated bidders lists, pay processes, source of supply, etc. In some cases, prime contractors may require their subcontractors to have a CAGE code. To obtain a CAGE code, you should register via the CCR.
Online Representations and Certifications: Offerors should complete the Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA). The representations and certifications must be updated as necessary, but at least annually, to ensure that they are current, accurate, and complete (see FAR Subpart 4.12).
Supplier Qualification Form: The Supplier Qualification Form (SQF) provides basic information about your organization and is necessary to qualify your organization as a preferred supplier with Praxis. Your certification programs (i.e., quality, environmental, and diversity) are part of our continuing evaluation of our suppliers. Submit the completed SQF via e-mail to contracts@pxi.com or fax it to 703-837-8500, Attn: Contracts.

Taxpayer Identification Number: A Federal taxpayer identification number (TIN) (also known as an employer identification number or EIN) is a unique number assigned to your business by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Any business offering products or services that are taxed must have a TIN (note that individuals and single-person companies can use their Social Security Number and are not required to have a TIN).
