UOC - Unit Operation Center

Unit Operation CenterPraxis supported the Naval Research Laboratory in the development of modular, scalable tactical operations center for the Marine Corps. Praxis designed the intercom and radio installation for the UOC system, assisted with fabrication of mechanical assemblies and cable harnesses, and helped integrate the UOC system in three different standard USMC vehicles within four months of program inception.

Praxis provided field support for the UOC prototypes at several field exercises at Camp Pendleton, CA and Twenty-nine Palms, CA. During these exercises, Praxis supported operations at the Battalion, Regimen, and Division command echelons. Praxis personnel lived in the field alongside USMC servicemen and performed real-time upgrades and repairs to the prototype UOC equipment, sometimes using field expedient techniques. Praxis personnel also used their expertise in newer C4I systems to assist with training the UOC operators. Praxis also supported the UOC system in the field during a series of USMC tactical exercises, modifying the system on the fly to incorporate lessons learned. The UOC project culminated in a successful division level exercise that crossed Arizona and Southern California.
