High Speed Vessel
The High Speed Vessel is a project to develop modular missionized capability sets for installation on commercial high speed ferry vessels in support of emerging littoral warfare requirements. The Naval Research Laboratory developed a Combat Information Center (CIC) module based on their Unit Operation Center (UOC) software and hardware design. Praxis developed the basic design of the intercom system and the radio interfaces for the High Speed Vessel project.
Praxis provided on-site integration and test support for the High Speed Vessel at Norfolk, Virginia. Praxis demonstrated line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight communications, commercial telephone line integration, commercial SATCOM communications, and integration of the CIC intercom system with the existing vessel intercom system.
