FIREBALL - Fast Imaging Response for Energetic Burst and Afterglow Locations The proposed FIREBALL mission provided a complement of four instruments designed to realize three critical Gamma-ray bursts (GRB) observing objectives: Acquiring a large sample of burst events with broad band spectroscopy through increased burst sensitivity and wide field of view, Rapid notification to ground observer network of arc minute burst positions, and Autonomous slewing to burst position for arc second positioning in soft X-rays, permitting rapid ground notification of arc second positions, and follow-on observations of the burst afterglow. A further important objective was the acquisition of a sky survey in hard X-rays, executed simultaneously with the burst searches. Praxis provided decision support, program planning, multimedia design, and document management services for FIREBALL.
